Daughter to For Pleasure who is considered one of the best stallions performer in the world for genetics, disposition and for winning four gold medals in international competitions. Filly purchased for her important genetic line. Her damline is one of the most important of Hanoverian breeding.
Genetics
Her sire For Pleasure descends from a family bloodline history of success, his sire Furioso II is without doubt one of the best stallions in the world who affected the European sport horses breeding in a remarkable way.
For Pleasure was honoured as the best “Stallion of the Year” in 2000. In 2003 he turned out to be the sixth best horse in Germany for the amounts won. He is one of the best jumping horses in the last few years.
In his palmares stand out 5 Gold Medals won at the Olympics, at the World Championships and at the European Championships with M. Ehning and L. Nieberg. For Pleasure, always at the top of the ranking of stallions sires of winners in show jumping, is esteemed sire of approved stallions, of States Premium broodmares (StPrSt) and of sons who compete in show jumping. His damline is excellent, the mother Gigantin, is the daughter of the legendary Grannus excellent breeder who left a lasting mark both in show jumping and in breeding producing numerous winners in CSIO. He operated in the German regions of Oldemburg and Hannover. His offspring has achieved successes all over the world: Grannush, Gaston M, Grand Slam, Governor, Grand Plasir. Grannus himself won in show jumping categories (mt.1,50) ridden by Guido and Ulrich Klatte.
After the lesion of a ligament, occurred last year in June, that caused the end of his sports career, For Pleasure (Hanoverian 1986 by Furioso II x Grannus), one of the best stallions in international show jumping, has been officially retired from sporting activity. The farewell ceremony has taken place at the end of May 2006, on the occasion of CHIO in Aquisgrana, in one of the fields where he has been appreciated and celebrated several times. For Pleasure will continue his respected and appreciated career as breeder.
Her dam Country Lady is the daughter of Calypso II, Holsteneir stallion, the mythical Cor De La Brye’re’ s son. Calipso II competed in jumping class S with M. Ruping. His offspring distinguished itself for an extraordinary talent for jumping and for the excellent rideability. He is one of the most important Holsteneir breeders in the last few years. In Hannover and in Holstein Calypso II has produced prestigious stallions and horses such as : Contender, Coriolan, Champ of Class, Colani, Compliment, Cardano, Carismo Chasseur I and II and Carbid, Montemorelos La Silla, Caras J, Cartier S. Up to 2006 in Germany his sons have won € 1.606,332 in competitions. Calypso II is at the top of the German jumping sire list, for siring 245 winners, 33 approved stallions, 282 registered broodmares and 44 States Premium broodmares.
Her second dam Waidwerk is Werther’s daughter. Werther, who was honoured as best stallion of the year in 1992, is one of the most imprtant Hanoverian sires and one of the main stallions of the States Celle Stud. Son of Wenderkeis and of one of Marcio xx’s daughters, Werther sired horses who are highly appreciated for their personality and versatility in show jumping and in dressage. He passes onto his offspring a series of qualities such as exceptional temperaments, a strong constitution, a correct exterior and excellent gaits. Up to 2006 his offspring has won 1.456.521 euro in sport competitions. Sire of 62 approved stallions and of 90 States Premium broodmares. Some of his sons were top price at Verden auctions: Westerland (135.000 DM), Whisper Dark (96.000 DM) etc. Among his sons who distinguishing themselves both in show jumping and in dressage we remember: Werra , Wanja, Wahre Liebe, Wellpoint, Warrenty, Wacrammentana, Waterloo, Westpoint,. Silwa Wapiti.
Her third dam StPrSt. Garde is Graphit’s daughter. Graphit, the legendary Grande’s son, has been for a longtime the most famous sire in Germany who marked an important turning point in Hanoverian breeding producing an impressive nuber of approved stallions and excellent jumpers, some of them are still competing in international events. Sire of the mythical Grannus, Graphit has produced very important stallions such as General, Gitano, Gloster, Grundstein (excellent sire of dressage and jumping horses).
StPrSt. Garde, States Premium broodmare, in 1997 was the winner of Louis-Wiegelschau prize for elite family, the most longed-for reward that a broodmare can obtain. StPrSt. Garde has produced Frambeau, a stallion purchased by the States Celle Stud, and Wahre Liebe, Werther’s daughter, international winner.
Her fourth dam Gandria is the daughter of the legendary Gotthard, considered the mainstay of Hanoverian breeding, responsible for the line “G” through his father Goldfisch II.
