Filly belonging to a very prestigious bloodline chosen for the “Fohlenchampionat" finals, a championship devoted to the best foals in Germany.
Genetics
Her sire Contendro I is the son of Contender, winner at the Holsteiner stallions licensing in 1986, in 1987 he won the Performance Test at Adelheidsorf, 1st of 45 at the 100-Day-Test with an overall index of 133,41 and scoring convincing 146,62 points in the jumping category, showing his extraordinary qualities. Contender is producing great winners both in dressage and in jumping, up to 2005 his offspring has won € 2.130.250 in competitions!! Sire of 24 approved stallions such as Cashman, Condor M, Continue, Captain Paul, Concetto, Contendo I, Co-Pilot, Contenur, Cranac, of 93 registered broodmares and of over 16 mares who are candidates for the States Premium.
Contendo I, awarded a prize during the licensing in 1999 (he was in fact one of the favourites of his year), in 2000 he confirmed the appraisal for his qualities winning the Performance Test at Adelheidsorf where he achieved the highest score in all the partial indexes, and won in the jumping category. Excellent basic gaits, a very good rideability and an extraordinary ability in jumping are the qualities which characterise this young and handsome stallion. The inheritability of his genetic characteristics that he is able to pass onto his offspring is absolutely reliable. Like him, his foals have a dark mantle, remarkably beautiful faces and vigorous movements. Contendro I has already produced foals who have been awarded a prize in several performances and have participated in Verden auctions where they achieved the highest prices.
Her dam StPrSt Adura is the daughter of Accord II, vice-champion at the 5 year old German Championship, well-known all over the world for his qualities as breeder. He produced many approved stallions and horses who qualified for the finals of German Championship, one of them, Atlantic, won the the 6 year old Championship.
Her second dam StPrSt Wendura is the daughter of Wenderkreis, considered one of the most important stallions of the last decades, well-known as the sire of numerous international winners, of many premium states broodmares and approved stallions such as Werther, honoured as best stallion of the year in 1992 in Hannover.
Her third dam, H-Denise is the daughter of the legendary Don Juan who was honoured as the best stallion of the year in 1997. He has produced excellent jumping horses with great athletic ability and courage. In sport competitions his offspring earned more than € 931.991. Sire of numerous approved stallions (Don Eduardo, Doninzetti, Dirano, Doyen ecc.), of 331 registered broodmares and of 43 States Premium broodmares.
His most successful sons in sport competitions are: Dulf ( € 67.230 won) who, ridden by Ÿesile McNaught, was part of the Swiss team which in 1999 was awarded the silver medal at the European Show Jumping Championships in Hickstead, Domina DE (€ 57.054 won), Don Ramiro (€ 29.565 won), Delon VA (€ 26.871 won), Donatella FRH (€ 25.247 won), Donna Sola (€ 20.322 won), Don Allegro, Don Bianco etc.
Capabanca’s damline is therefore extremely prestigious. From the same damline descends Argument, States Celle stallion sire of winners both in dressage and in show jumping. Both the dam StPrSt Adura (Acord II x Calipso I) and the grandmother StPrSt Wedura (Wendekreis x Don Juan), States Premium broodmares, entered the Hanoverian Breeding Jumping Program.
From the same damline descend two stallions, one by Calido (sold to a considerable price at the stallions auction in Verden in 2004) and one by Drosselklang II.
