Genetics
Now he is a male with bay mantle but it will become gray sure! He has four jumps and it is truly very beautiful. It's full of life, very structured, with perfect "appiombi"; he remembers Ladykiller xx, but goodness knows as and how much he will change growing! A very attending foal, we thought to a special name for him and "Chirone" could be a truly special name for us and for him, then we have thought that "Chirone of the Chirone" sounded very badly so then we decided for Congratulations del Chirone, an important name for a foal with great perspectives; another bud of our breeeding.
He is the son of Come On (Cantus x Landgraf I x Fokus) son of the mythical Cantus who passed his extraordinary talent in jumping on to his sons like Calvaro V W.Mellinger’s most important horse, Cristobal (German Champion 1994), Cantate Z (CSIO with G.Govoni), Callao (CSIO with G.Nuti) and to the stallions Calido I+II, Canturo, Canavado Z and Cellestial (CSIO with R.G. Bengtsson) just to mention some.
His mother Suehne is the daughter of the legendary Landgraf I and besides Come On (CSIO) she has also produced the mare Fleur who is competing in CSIO with M.Whitaker who, in her turn, is the mother of Cheers Cassini who is successfully competing in CSIO with R. Davenport. The grandmother Buehne has won more than 70 competitions in cat. M and S. confirming the longevity and the fertility of this line, since the last foal is 27 years old. Buehne is also the mother of the stallion and international performer Castor, ridden by Dr. M.Rueping, of the stallion Ferdinand (by Fernando/NL) and of Traco who won in CSIO with A.Weychert competing until the age of 22. Also the stallions Lord Caletto,Stauffenberg, Landucci and Lamont, the winner of 2005 licensing in Holstein, who has been sold for 320.000 euro in Denmark, descend from this prestigious family.
Vice champion of the performance test out of 70 stallions, with a score of 141,84, Come on has confirmed his excellent qualities by taking part in top-level competitions first with Ludger Beerbaum, than with R.Schneider and the princess Haya of Jordan, obtaining the 1st place in the Nations Cup at the CSIO in Geesteren, 2nd place in the GP of the CSI in Goteborg, 3rd place at the CSI in Hickstead and 4th place in the Nations Cup in Lucerna, 1st place at the CSI in Donaueschingen, 1st place (for three times) at the CSI in Zuidlaren, 3rd place at the CSI in Stoccarda, 4th place at the CSI in Vienna and 5th place in the Nations Cup at the CSIO in Dublin, 2nd place at the CSI in Zurich, 3rd place at the CSI in Bordeaux etc.
He was at the top of the stallions ranking in Germany for two years since he had produced very important horses like Cleverboy, Carloni, Come Well, Checker and Comic FRH and countless horses like Comtess winner in CSIO with M.Kutscher, C.I.A 3° in GP of Friedrichshafen CSIA and 7°,8° and 12°in Aach Gp with M. Eugster, Pheton-M winner in CSI*** for Switzerland when he was only seven years old. In Italy Carmelito (CSI) with M. Fachin, Move On, who with Giovanni Magaton placed 4° at CSIO in Rome and 3° Athens CSIO, O Come On and Paco who compete successfully in CSI*** with L. Falomo.
Her dam is our Cronik del Chirone daughter di Capitol I who has been one of the most important holsteiner stallions, a real founder, one of the best producers of sport horses. In his pedigree he combines two of the most important breeding lines in Germany. His mother Folia descends from one of the most successful Holsteiner breeding lines. His father, Cottage Son, thoroughbred born in 1944 (Young Lover × Cottage), is considered a founder especially because his son Corporal is the sire of Capitano who is sire of Capitol I and II.
Capitol I is Folia’s most successful son and one of the most important sires of jumping horses in the last ten years. His production includes olympic horses such as Cassini, Carthago Z, Cento, Cardento. High quality sire with 139 winners, 5 approved stallions and 73 breeding broodmares. He is also known as a producer of stallions who are in their turn sires of winners, such as Capriol (by Ladykiller xx), Calato, Cardento and of broodmares who produced winners such as Soleil, dam of Corrado I, a successful international stallion performer. In the 2003 best jumping sires list, Capitol I is at the 13th position with an index of 151, an accuracy of 98% and with 141 winners and 29 approved stallions.
Her dam Orida is Ladykiller xx’s daughter. Ladykiller xx is a thoroughbred born in 1961 (Sailing Light × Loaningdale) imported from England. Ladykiller xx is one of the horses who have mostly affected the international sport horses breeding. Among his offspring there are some stallions who have become real legends, in particular: Landgraf I, sire of jumping horses like Libero H, excellent stallion performer and winner of the ’94 World Cup Finals with Jos Lansink, Taggi who won an individual bronze medal and a team gold medal at the World Championship in 1994, Lanciano, Luis XIV, Landlord, Lasall (ridden by Nelson Pessoa). Another excellent son of Ladykiller xx is Lord.
Her second dam is Zaide, General Gaugraf’s daughter.
